At Meynell & Mason Funeral Directors Wingate we are here to listen to families wishes, so that we can help to provide a personal funeral service in memory of your loved one. We understand the feelings and emotions that loss and funeral planning can be bring, which is why we are here to serve local families with respect and patience. Originally Speckmans Funeral Directors, we have been serving local families since the 1980s and will now continue to do so under the name Meynell & Mason Funeral Directors. As we support the wider community in County Durham, we aim to arrange and conduct funeral services with the utmost respect, compassion and kindness. Our funeral home is a historic building, which was used by Meadow Dairy Company Ltd in the 1930s. It holds a little part of Wingate history and today hosts our professional team of Funeral Directors and Memorial Consultants, with two private Chapels of Rest. As we are located on Front Street, our Wingate funeral home is easily accessible for the surrounding areas, including Thornley, Wheatley Hill and Trimdon.
